Andrea “Andy” Guice Engelhardt
When I attended school, girls were not allowed to be an artist. I was told there was no demand for an artist and I would have to be a secretary. So I was a secretary and hated it. I later transitioned into Credit and Accounts Receivable and excelled at that. That career maintained me until I could retire.
I gave up art for thirty years because of careers and family. After I retired two years ago I realized that I used to be an artist. When I picked up the brush again, I found my style was completely different than before. I painted impressionism and started experimenting with paper collage and abstract. I loved it and was hooked. I love color and am not afraid to use it.
